Course Objective & Scope

The Product Owner is not a backlog clerk taking orders, but the single decision-maker accountable for maximising product value. This course covers Product Owner accountabilities in the Scrum Guide, defining a Product Goal, User Story Mapping, writing INVEST-compliant user stories and testable acceptance criteria in Given-When-Then format, backlog refinement and release forecasting.

Working on a product or module case from their own organisation, participants build a story map, a prioritised Product Backlog and a concrete first Sprint Goal.
