Course Objective & Scope
Node.js projects that start quickly on Express tend to lose their structure as they grow. NestJS brings an enterprise framework to the problem with TypeScript, a module system and dependency injection. The course builds an understanding of Node.js's event loop and async model, then applies it to writing well-organised NestJS services.
Modules, controllers and providers, DTO validation (class-validator), guards, interceptors and exception filters, data access with Prisma or TypeORM, authentication with Passport/JWT and testing with Jest/Supertest are all practised hands-on. The team leaves with a NestJS project skeleton suited to its domain and a list of coding conventions.
Who Should Attend?
- Node.js developers on Express or Fastify looking for a more structured framework
- TypeScript developers moving from frontend to backend
- Tech leads defining Node.js service standards
- Prerequisite: JavaScript/TypeScript and basic async/await knowledge
Key Takeaways
