Course Objective & Scope

From cloud instances and container hosts to data platforms, the majority of enterprise workloads run on Linux. This course prepares system and DevOps teams to deploy and operate RHEL/Rocky and Ubuntu servers with confidence.

The shell and text-processing tools, user/group and sudo permissions, online disk expansion with LVM, systemd services and journalctl log analysis, network and SSH hardening, and bash automation scripts are covered through hands-on labs. Participants build a server provisioning script and a troubleshooting guide aligned with their organisation's standards.

Who Should Attend?

  • System administrators and infrastructure engineers managing Linux servers
  • DevOps teams working with containers, Kubernetes and CI/CD hosts
  • Software developers troubleshooting application servers
  • Prerequisite: basic computer and operating system concepts

Key Takeaways

  • Analyse logs and configuration files quickly using CLI tools and pipes
  • Configure users, groups, ACLs and sudo rights following least privilege
  • Manage LVM, ext4/XFS file systems and fstab mounts without downtime
