Course Objective & Scope

Navigating hundreds of AWS services, setting up secure networking and permissions, and avoiding surprise cloud bills all require a solid foundation. This course provides a practical introduction to core AWS compute, networking, storage, database and security services.

Regions and Availability Zones, IAM policies and roles, VPC/Subnet/Security Group design, EC2, Auto Scaling, ECS and Lambda options, S3 storage classes, RDS Multi-AZ and DynamoDB, CloudWatch alarms and AWS Cost Explorer/Budgets are explored hands-on. Participants design a baseline AWS architecture and checklist for a sample workload.

Who Should Attend?

  • Software developers, system administrators and DevOps engineers new to AWS
  • IT specialists, analysts and technical project managers involved in cloud migration
  • Teams preparing for AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate tracks
  • Prerequisite: basic IT, server and networking familiarity

Key Takeaways

  • Explain the AWS Shared Responsibility Model, Region/AZ topology and account structure
  • Configure IAM users, roles and least-privilege JSON policies
  • Build a VPC with public/private subnets, route tables, NAT Gateways and Security Groups
  • Match workloads to EC2, containers (ECS/EKS) or serverless (Lambda) and the right storage/database service
  • Apply AWS Well-Architected principles, CloudWatch monitoring and AWS Budgets cost controls
