Course Objective & Scope

Teams running or migrating enterprise workloads on Microsoft Azure need to structure subscriptions, networking and service selection properly from day one. This course provides a practical foundation across Azure compute, storage, networking, security and governance services.

Microsoft Entra ID and RBAC, the Management Group/Subscription/Resource Group hierarchy, VNets, NSGs and Load Balancers/Application Gateways, Azure VMs, App Service, Functions and Container Apps, Storage Accounts, Azure SQL and Cosmos DB, plus Azure Monitor and Cost Management are explored hands-on. Participants design a baseline Azure architecture and governance checklist for a sample workload.

Who Should Attend?

  • IT specialists and engineers developing or administering workloads on Azure
  • Infrastructure teams migrating on-premise Windows or Linux workloads to Azure
  • Technical staff and project managers starting the AZ-900 / AZ-104 learning path
  • Prerequisite: basic IT, networking and server concepts

Key Takeaways

  • Structure Management Groups, Subscriptions and Resource Groups to match the organisation
  • Enforce access and compliance rules using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC roles and Azure Policy
  • Configure VNets, subnets, NSGs, VNet Peering and hybrid connectivity options
  • Match Azure VMs, App Service, Container Apps, Storage and Azure SQL to the right use cases
  • Track health and spend with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Advisor and Cost Management
