Course Objective & Scope

A ranked list of use cases is not yet a roadmap; when data, platform, security and talent dependencies between projects are ignored, transformation programmes quickly hit bottlenecks. This course teaches leaders how to sequence AI initiatives into a realistic timeline, capacity plan and milestone structure.

Three-horizon planning (H1 quick wins, H2 platform scaling, H3 business model innovation) and dependency mapping are applied hands-on. Participants build a first 90-day action plan and a multi-quarter enterprise AI roadmap for their organisation.

Who Should Attend?

  • Digital transformation, strategy and PMO managers
  • CIOs, CDOs and architects responsible for the technology roadmap
  • Business unit leaders and AI portfolio managers
  • Managers involved in annual budgeting and resource allocation

Key Takeaways

  • Map data, integration, security and talent dependencies across AI projects
  • Embed reusable platform building blocks (shared RAG, guardrails, model gateway) into the sequence
  • Plan quarterly delivery waves under realistic capacity and budget constraints
  • Define clear owners, deliverables and success criteria for the first 90 days
  • Create an executive-ready visual AI roadmap for board and leadership reviews

Curriculum

From Use Case List to Strategic Roadmap
  • Why standalone priority scores are not enough for sequencing
  • Three-horizon (H1, H2, H3) AI transformation architecture
  • Synchronising with business calendars, budget cycles and regulatory deadlines
Dependency Analysis and Shared Platform Building Blocks
  • Prerequisites in data readiness, API integration and identity/access management
  • Spotting reusable components: enterprise LLM gateway, shared vector store, guardrails
  • Modelling bottlenecks in talent, procurement and governance approvals
Wave Planning and Resource Balancing
  • Designing quarterly delivery waves and work-in-progress (WIP) limits
  • Balancing internal engineering capacity, SME availability and external partners
  • Using early wins to build organisational momentum and self-fund later waves
First 90-Day Action Plan and Governance Cadence
  • Concrete 30-60-90 day deliverables, owners and stage gates
  • Tracking roadmap variance and running quarterly recalibration reviews
  • Drafting the organisation's visual AI roadmap and rehearsing the executive pitch
