Course Objective & Scope

The most common issues designers face in AI-generated imagery are missing negative space for copy placement, garbled typography and accidental compositions. This training focuses on steering generative models according to graphic design principles rather than chance.

Participants practise accurate typography generation with Ideogram, Flux and GPT image, sketch- and grid-driven ControlNet/Structure Reference guidance, camera angle and depth-of-field control, and post-generation layer/vector separation for typographic refinement. Each participant produces a key-visual series with controlled hierarchy and typography for a real campaign or packaging brief.

Who Should Attend?

  • Senior graphic designers and art directors
  • Teams designing packaging, posters and campaign key visuals
  • Typography and editorial design specialists
  • Prerequisite: experience with image generation tools and Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop

Key Takeaways

  • Plan negative space for visual hierarchy and copy placement using prompts and sketches
  • Achieve accurate lettering and typographic styling in text-capable image models
  • Direct composition precisely with depth, canny-edge and pose maps
  • Separate generated visuals into layers and vectors to pair with corporate fonts
  • Revise lighting, texture and colour transitions without breaking layout structure
