Course Objective & Scope
Misreading model metrics and A/B test results is one of the most expensive data mistakes an organisation can make. This programme builds the statistics needed for data science through intuition and practice rather than memorised formulas.
Distributions, sampling, the central limit theorem, p-values, confidence intervals, t-tests and chi-square tests, correlation versus causation, and linear and logistic regression are covered in Python (SciPy, statsmodels). In an experiment scenario adapted from the organisation, participants calculate sample size, design the test and turn the result into a decision memo ready for management.
Who Should Attend?
- Data scientists and analysts who want a stronger statistical foundation
- Product and growth teams designing A/B tests and experiments
- Machine learning engineers who interpret model results
- Prerequisite: basic Python and pandas
Key Takeaways
