Course Objective & Scope
When risks are discovered after a use case has been selected, projects either stall or face costly rework. This course enables business teams to run a lightweight but systematic risk and compliance screening at the idea stage and factor the result into prioritisation.
It covers screening for prohibited and high-risk uses under the EU AI Act, KVKK and sector regulations, copyright and confidentiality, hallucination and accuracy, security risks such as prompt injection, and bias and reputational risk. Participants score likelihood and impact on sample use cases, define controls and build a screening form with go/no-go criteria.
Who Should Attend?
- Use case owners and business unit managers
- Legal, compliance and internal control teams
- Information security and data protection officers
- Transformation teams managing the AI portfolio
Key Takeaways
- Screen a use case against the core AI risk categories
- Pre-assess its risk tier under the EU AI Act
- Score and compare risks by likelihood and impact
- Propose suitable controls and mitigations for each high risk
- Link screening results to the prioritisation matrix and go/no-go decisions
Curriculum
AI Use Case Risk Categories
- Accuracy and hallucination, bias, privacy, security and reputation
- Risks specific to generative AI: copyright, data leakage, prompt injection
Regulatory Screening: EU AI Act and KVKK
- Prohibited, high-risk and transparency-obligation uses
- Personal data processing questions under KVKK
- Sector regulations and internal policies
Likelihood and Impact Scoring
- Risk scoring scales and calibration
- Inherent versus residual risk
Controls and Mitigations
- Human approval, guardrails, data masking and access restrictions
- User notification and transparency measures
Screening Form and Go/No-Go Criteria
- One-page risk screening form
- Escalation thresholds to legal and security teams
- Feeding results into prioritisation
