Course Objective
To provide the architectural expertise required to govern rapidly scaling Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot Studio adoption, prevent data exfiltration, and manage thousands of apps and flows through a structured Environment Strategy and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) discipline.
Participants gain hands-on experience configuring Managed Environments, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, the Center of Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit, and automated Power Platform Pipelines.
Target Audience and Prerequisites
- Target Audience: Power Platform administrators, enterprise architects, information security specialists, CoE leads, and DevOps/ALM engineers.
- Prerequisites: Familiarity with core Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) and Microsoft Entra ID administration concepts.
Key Takeaways and Focus Areas
- Designing a multi-tier
Environment Strategy, configuringEnvironment Routing, and managing Dataverse storage capacity. - Enforcing granular DLP policies covering connector classification, action/endpoint filtering, and Copilot Studio guardrails.
- Deploying the CoE Starter Kit for tenant-wide inventory and orphaned resource cleanup alongside automated
ALMvia Power Platform Pipelines and Azure DevOps.
Curriculum
Enterprise Environment Strategy and Managed Environments
- Securing the Default environment, designing Developer/Sandbox/Production topologies, and Environment Groups rules
- Managed Environments capabilities: sharing limits, Solution Checker enforcement, usage insights, and Environment Routing
DLP Policies, Tenant Isolation, and Copilot Governance
- Business, Non-Business, and Blocked connector groups, connector action controls, and HTTP/SQL endpoint filtering
- Cross-tenant inbound/outbound restrictions, customer-managed keys (CMK), and Copilot Studio governance controls
Center of Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit Deployment and Operations
- Deploying CoE Starter Kit modules, tenant-wide inventory synchronization, and Power BI governance analytics
- Identifying orphaned apps/flows, archiving inactive resources, and automating compliance/quarantine workflows
Enterprise ALM, Solutions, and Automated Deployment Pipelines
- Unmanaged versus Managed Solution architecture, Connection References, and Environment Variables
- In-product Power Platform Pipelines, native Git integration, and CI/CD automation with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
