Course Objective & Scope
Once n8n moves into production with hundreds of workflows and high payload volumes, monolithic flows hit memory ceilings, API rate limit constraints and upstream outages. This course covers the engineering practices required to design resilient, modular and scalable n8n architectures.
Participants build reusable sub-workflow layers, write complex transformations in JavaScript and Python via the Code node, implement centralized error handling, stream binary files, scaffold custom nodes and configure Redis-backed queue mode for horizontal scaling.
Who Should Attend?
- Automation engineers who already know n8n basics and build complex production workflows
- Software developers and architects running high-volume integrations and data sync pipelines
- Platform engineers managing self-hosted n8n reliability, security and performance
- Prerequisite: hands-on n8n experience and working knowledge of JavaScript and REST APIs
Key Takeaways
- Architect maintainable automation systems with reusable
sub-workflowcontracts - Write advanced data transformations and custom logic inside the
Code node - Process large datasets safely with API
pagination, batching andrate limitthrottling - Implement
Error Triggerworkflows, retry strategies and idempotent recovery patterns - Tune self-hosted deployments with Redis
queue mode, workers and memory controls
